Muse rocked Seattle at Key Arena last Friday!
I took notes on my iPhone during the concert but missed about 4 of the songs they played. I managed to find the set list online though, so I'll post it below. They played every single one of my favorites (noted in the set list with asterisks) and were excellent as always. I'll definitely go to any of their concerts and will be watching out for the next time they play Seattle!

Glad it’s past Valentine’s Day
At first I was thinking, yikes! It’s been over a month since I last wrote anything (and even longer/never since I’ve written anything remotely interesting). But then, I realized whew! I’m glad I get to skip the requisite “I hate Valentine’s Day” rant. Cause who wants to be the cliché single girl who feels like insanely oppressive force (redundant adjectives, much?) from the rest of the godforsaken world full of couples that is too busy ranting about how commercial V-day is, and how they don’t want to deal with the pressure to show their love to their partners – oh why, oh why can’t I be free to express my love in a way that is not spearheaded by massive chocolate/candy/jewelry retailers trying to make a buck off of my love? And gee whiz, my wallet’s too small for my fifties and my diamond shoes are too tight!
Yes, that’s right, boo fucking hoo. How about you enjoy the fact that you actually have someone in your life about who you can actually express some frickin’ love. Consider yourself lucky and let us single, bitter bitches have the opportunity to rant (and rightly so).
So yes, consider yourself lucky that I remembered my blog after Valentine’s Day has passed and you get to skip out on the ranting. ;)
Go fuck yourself Lots of love!

Holidays are exhausting
I suppose you could say, well Noelle, at least it's Friday! I might have to smack you just a little bit if you do, however. It doesn't feel like the weekend because I'll definitely have to put in several hours at work. Life is a bitch sometimes.
One of the things that is keeping me sane while work threatens to overwhelm is listening to music. I'm sure that you know by now if you've been paying attention that I'm a Muse fan. In the effort to relax, I'm posting the lyrics to my current favorite Muse track (and their latest single): Resistance.
Is our secret safe tonightYou can check out their latest single here. Enjoy!
And are we out of sight
Or will our world come tumbling down?
Will they find our hiding place
Is this our last embrace
Or will the walls start caving in?
(It could be wrong, could be wrong) But it should have been right
(It could be wrong, could be wrong) To let our hearts ignite
(It could be wrong, could be wrong) Are we digging a hole?
(It could be wrong, could be wrong) This is out of control
(It could be wrong, could be wrong) It can never last
(It could be wrong, could be wrong) Must erase it fast
(It could be wrong, could be wrong) But it could have been right
(It could be wrong, could be...)
Love is our resistance
They'll keep us apart and they won't stop breaking us down
Hold me
Our lips must always be sealed
If we live a life in fear
I'll wait a thousand years
Just to see you smile again
Kill your prayers for love and peace
You'll wake the thought police
We can't hide the truth inside
The night has reached its end
We can't pretend
We must run
We must run
It's time to run
Take us away from here
Protect us from further harm

Metric Set List from Deck the Hall Ball 2009
Anyway, here's the set list from last night:
Dead DiscoLoved Help! I'm Alive and Gold Guns Girls...wish they'd played Twilight Galaxy (my fave Metric song aside from Help!... but I understand why they didn't. It doesn't really fit in with the rock concert hyper-energetic vibe).
Gimme Sympathy
Gold Guns Girls
Sick Muse
Help! I'm Alive
Stadium Love

Muse Set List from Deck the Hall Ball 2009
In any case, I didn't recognize all the songs they played and fortunately after a little internet searching (Bing, you lost to Google in this search), I randomly found a post on supershippy's LJ that had the set list info.
I'm re-posting it, but you can check out the original post here.
MK Ultra
Interlude
Hysteria
Resistance
Supermassive Black Hole
Unnatural Selection
United States of Eurasia (w/o Collateral Damage)
Uprising
Starlight
Time Is Running Out
Plug In Baby
Knights of Cydondia
My frantic searching this morning was prompted by the second (technically 4th listed above) song I'd heard last night...I can't believe I didn't know it, but it was complete awesome-sauce and I needed to find it. I'm definitely going to pick up The Resistance ASAP. [Aside: after looking it up on iTunes, I'm not actually sure that was the song I fell in love with...I might have mis-remembered the order, but I'm looking into it... Quick update: Resistance is indeed the song that is complete awesome-sauce, iTunes just sampled a part of it I didn't recognize. Listening now, with a big smile on my face. :D]
